Auctionscope ("we", "us", or "our") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect when you visit auctionscope.in and use our services, how we use it, and the choices you have. By using Auctionscope you agree to the practices described here.

Information you provide

Account information — when you sign up or sign in, we collect your name and email address through our authentication provider.
Activity content — properties you save to your watchlist and the messages you send to our AI chat.
Communications — feedback, support requests, and any other information you choose to send us.

Information collected automatically

Usage data — pages and listings you view, searches you run, and features you use.
Device and log data — IP address, browser type, device identifiers, and timestamps, collected through standard server logs and our hosting providers.

2.How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

Provide, operate, and maintain Auctionscope, including search, watchlists, and alerts;
Authenticate you and keep your account secure;
Process subscription payments and manage your plan;
Respond to your enquiries and provide support;
Improve our services, understand how the platform is used, and develop new features;
Detect, prevent, and address fraud, abuse, and security issues; and
Comply with our legal obligations.

3.AI Chat and Search

Auctionscope uses third-party large language model (LLM) providers to power its AI chat and natural-language search. When you send a message or run an AI-assisted query, the text of that query — together with relevant auction listing data — may be transmitted to these providers to generate a response. Please avoid including sensitive personal information in your chat messages. AI-generated responses may be inaccurate or incomplete; see our Disclaimer.

4.Cookies and Local Storage

We use cookies and browser local storage to keep you signed in, remember your theme preference (light or dark), and store your session. These are necessary for the site to function. We also use Google Analytics (GA4) to understand aggregate usage of the site — pages viewed, searches run, and similar patterns — which sets its own analytics cookies; we do not send Google Analytics any personal information such as your name or email address. We do not use third-party advertising cookies. You can opt out of Google Analytics using Google's browser add-on, or clear or block cookies generally through your browser settings, though some features may stop working if you do.

5.Payments and Subscriptions

Paid subscriptions are processed by our payment partner, Razorpay. When you make a payment, your card and banking details are collected and processed directly by Razorpay under their own privacy policy — we do not store your full card numbers or banking credentials. We retain only a record of your transaction (such as order identifiers, amount, and subscription status) needed to manage your account.

We do not sell your personal information. We share it only as follows:

Service providers — authentication and database hosting, application hosting, file storage, payment processing, and AI/LLM providers who process data on our behalf to deliver the service;
Legal and safety — where required by law, regulation, legal process, or to protect the rights, safety, and property of Auctionscope or others;
Business transfers — in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, subject to this policy.

7.Data Retention

We retain your personal information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the service. We may retain certain information for longer where required to comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, or enforce our agreements. When information is no longer needed, we securely delete or anonymise it.

8.Data Security

We implement reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your information, including encryption in transit and access controls. However, no method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

9.Your Rights and Choices

You may access, update, or correct your account information at any time from your account settings. You can request deletion of your account and associated data by contacting us. Subject to applicable law, you may also have the right to object to or restrict certain processing, and to request a copy of your data. We will respond to verified requests within a reasonable time.

10.Children's Privacy

Auctionscope is not directed to individuals under the age of 18, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it.

11.Third-Party Links

Our service links to external websites, including bank and auction-platform pages and official sale notices. We are not responsible for the privacy practices or content of those third-party sites. We encourage you to read their privacy policies.

12.International Data Transfers

Auctionscope operates from India, and our service providers may process and store data in India and other countries. By using the service, you consent to the transfer of your information to locations that may have data protection laws different from those in your jurisdiction.

13.Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date above. Material changes will be highlighted where appropriate. We encourage you to review this page periodically.
