The Adangal (Village Account No. 2) is a Tamil Nadu revenue record of how a piece of land is used — cultivation, crops, irrigation and possession. The A-Register is the village's settlement record of land classification, extent and tax. Together they add detail that patta alone does not.
What each record covers
- Adangal (Village Account No. 2). Maintained by the village administration, it records the actual use of the land — who is cultivating it, the crops grown, the source of irrigation, and the nature of possession. It is most relevant for agricultural land.
